JPH Chemistry Competition
JPH chemistry Competition is an annual contest held around the end of every August. The competition problems are written by Professor Jianping Huang. The mission of the JPH Chemistry Competition is to inspire a love for chemistry, discover and develop exceptional talent worldwide, and build a passionate global community through a rigorous and transformative competition experience.

2026 JPH Chemistry Competition will be held on 8/23/2026, 7pm-9pm ET. Any AP Chemistry level or above students excluding IChO gold medalists are welcome to participate!

Registration deadline: 8/16/2026
1. This competition was written by Professor JPH Chemistry Competition Committee consisting of Prof. Jianping Huang and 12 IChO medalists and USNCO study camp campers
2. The competition requires complete responses to questions involving problem-solving and explanations. Be sure to show your reasoning and detail your work
3. You have 120 minutes to complete 8 essay questions
4. Competition Time: 7:00pm – 9:00pm ET on 08/23/2026
5. The competition exam link and the link to upload your answers will be sent to all participants by email at 6:55pm ET on 8/23 (Please make sure you to enter your correct email address in the registration form)
6. The competition exam link will be closed at 9:00pm ET on 8/23
7. The link to submit your answers will be closed at 9:15pm ET on 8/23
8. Top 20 students will be posted on the JPH website
