2024 Summer Organic Chemistry Camp

Professor Jianping Huang teaches the same Organic Chemistry as the “ JPH Weekly Organic Chemistry Class” in a fast pace during the Summer Organic Chemistry Camp , 2.5 hours per lesson. All lectures are based on Professor Jianping Huang’s personally-generated handouts.

Requirements:

  • Student Grade Level: 7th grade and above

  • Previous organic chemistry knowledge is not required

  • Students must be signed up for ZOOM on a PC or tablet

Class Length: 2.5 hours/class

Time and Date:  9:30am-12:00pm and 2:00pm-4:30pm E.T. everyday, Jul 22nd-Aug 3rd, 2024.  25 classes total
Cost: $46 / 2.5-hour class

2024 Spring Lab Camp

Professor Huang provides an 1-week free hands-on lab camp for all the USNCO study campers. At the camps, Professor Huang trains campers the lab techniques and International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) practice / laboratory exams in a local college laboratory

Student Eligibility: All 2023 USNCO camp qualifiers

Camp Cost: Free

Camp Time: TBD

Camp is free. (Parents are responsible to arrange their students’ traveling, living, and meals. We could help to connect with the host families, if needed)

2024 Summer Lab Camp

Professor Huang provides a 2-week hands-on summer lab camp to train students lab techniques to prepare the USNCO laboratory exams. During the training, Professor Huang uses the comprehensive lab manual that he authored, which covers all types of laboratory experiments suitable for high school students.

Student Eligibility:  Must be National Top 150 and above in the USNCO exam, limit 24 students

Camp Time: July 8th, 2024 – July 19th, 2024

Camp Location: Carmel, Indiana

Meals: Daily lunch will be provided

Traveling/Housing/Food: Parents are responsible to arrange their students’ traveling, housing, breakfast and dinner.

Cost: $3500 + $100 registration fee

Summer USNCO Camp

Professor Jianping Huang provides 2-week intensive chemistry camps during summer. The camps are designed to nurture students’ interest in chemistry and improve their performance at the national (USNCO) and international Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) exams as well as the US National Chemistry Tournament at Washington University in St. Louis (WUCT). It will cover all USNCO-level topics and use them as a launching point for problem solving strategies for advanced chemistry.

Student Eligibility:  Ranked national top 150 or above in national Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO)

Due to resources availability, we will not hold Summer USNCO Camp in 2023. Prof. Huang will weave all the summer camp materials into the JPH Advanced Chemistry Class.
